CD replication is the initial manufacturing process of CDs where they are molded from melted polycarbonate plastic with the content on it. The process is normally called glass mastering.

On the other hand, a CD duplicate involves burning your information on a blank CD-R. The process uses automated machines that can burn multiple CDs simultaneously for more efficiency.
