There’s a lot to be said for holding a wedding ceremony and reception outside. If that’s what you have your heart set on, now is the time to begin looking at Lake Geneva outdoor wedding venues and find the one that’s just right for what you have in mind. Make sure to ask plenty of questions, including the following three.
Ask about the type of resources that are on hand for the event. Does the venue already have enough canopies, tents, and chairs for your wedding and reception, or will you need to engage other vendors to bring those in? Given that’s a major expense for the day, it’s nice to know what is already available on-site and can be reserved along with the location.
Inquire about power sources. Will it be possible to ensure there’s power for musicians to use during the ceremony and reception? How about microphones so that everyone can hear the officiant and the couple during the ceremony? There’s also the matter of keeping some of the food warm. Ideally, a setup for power won’t be an issue.
Last, there’s the matter of parking. Ask about where and how many parking spaces can be set aside for your event. It’s not unusual for Lake Geneva outdoor wedding venues to have parking strategically placed so that guests don’t have to walk very far to get to the wedding site.
There will be other questions that come to mind as you tour each potential site. Feel free to ask all of them. Once you’re satisfied that the venue has everything you hoped, book the site before someone else beats you to it.
