CD Duplication

This is taking blank recordable CDs, also known as CDRs, and then information is written on them using a laser.

CD Replication

This is the process of creating a glass stamper from your audio and then molding each disk. This process is mainly used when you buy a commercially released CD.

What is the Difference Between the two?

CD replication is the initial manufacturing process of CDs where they are molded from melted polycarbonate plastic with the content on it. The process is normally called glass mastering. 

On the other hand, a CD duplicate involves burning your information on a blank CD-R. The process uses automated machines that can burn multiple CDs simultaneously for more efficiency.

What is the quality difference between CD replication and duplication?

The amount of information you need or have determines if your CDs will be replicated or duplicated. However, the video and audio quality and the customer’s experience, CD replication, and CD duplication are the same. There is only a minimal chance that when your CDs are duplicated, they may not play in some old generation DVDs. The only explanation for this problem is that CD duplication is a recently developed technology compared to CD replication. Therefore, the older DVDs without the duplication specifications cannot read the duplicated CDs.
